A monthly plan that keeps your site humming.

After launch, Website Care covers hosting, backups, security updates, and small edits so you don't have to log in to anything. Cancel anytime, no contract, no setup fee.

What's covered

Everything you'd otherwise have to manage.

One $49 invoice each month. One email address for everything. Small edits get done same-day in most cases.

  • Fast, reliable hosting on Cloudflare's global edge network. Your page loads from whichever data center is nearest your visitor.
  • SSL certificate renewed automatically. The padlock in the browser bar never lapses.
  • Weekly backups with 30 days of retention. If something breaks, we roll back.
  • Security and software updates applied as they come out. No "your site got hacked because a plugin was 18 months out of date."
  • Uptime monitoring. If the site goes down, I get an alert before you do.
  • Up to 30 minutes a month of small edits. Email me what changed, I make it live, usually same-day.
  • Cancel anytime. No long contract, no exit fee, no awkward retention call.
The boundary line

What counts as a "small edit," and what doesn't.

Stating this in plain language so there's no surprise on either end.

Small edits (covered)

  • Updating your hours, holiday hours, or seasonal closures.
  • Changing prices, menu items, or service line copy.
  • Swapping a photo for a better one.
  • Fixing a typo or rewording a paragraph.
  • Adding or removing a single line on the homepage.
  • Updating a contact phone number, address, or email.

Bigger jobs (separately quoted)

  • A new section on the homepage that didn't exist before.
  • A new page (services, gallery, about, etc.).
  • A redesign of the whole page or a major layout change.
  • Adding new functionality (booking widget, calculator, store).
  • A photo shoot or new copy direction.

Bigger jobs are quoted as a flat scope (typical) or billed at $50/hr (only when the scope is genuinely too small to flat-quote). The price is in writing before I touch anything.

How it works

One email. That's the whole interface.

  1. 01

    You email what changed

"New menu items," "Update Saturday hours," "Replace the hero photo." A sentence is enough.

  2. 02

    I make it live

Most edits go up the same day, almost always within one business day. You get a confirmation email when it's done.

  3. 03

    You see the change

That's it. No login, no dashboard, no "here's how to use the CMS" video.

Pricing

$49 a month. No setup fee.

$49/mo

Billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel anytime, no long contract.

Founding-client offer (first three clients only): Care locked at $35/mo for the first year, then $49/mo. The lower rate stays even if you pause and come back later.

FAQ

Care-specific questions.

What counts as a "small edit"?

Text changes, photo swaps, updates to your hours, prices, menu items, or service lines. Anything you'd hand to an assistant. New sections, new pages, redesigns, and new functionality are bigger jobs and get a separate flat quote (or $50/hr).

Do unused minutes roll over?

No. The 30-minute allowance is monthly, not banked. Most clients use 0 to 15 minutes in a typical month, so the buffer is there when you need it (a sudden price change, a new service line, a holiday-hours update). If you consistently need more, we can talk about a higher tier or a one-off quote.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No long contract. You email, I cancel, no exit fee. The only thing that happens is the site moves to your own hosting (I'll help you do that, and the site files are yours).

What if my site goes down at 2am?

Uptime monitoring catches it and I get an alert. In practice this is rare; the underlying hosting is Cloudflare, which doesn't go down often. When something does break, the fix is usually live before you'd have noticed. Care isn't a 24/7 emergency hotline, but it's a real human reading the alerts.

Where is the site actually hosted?

Cloudflare. Their global edge network serves your site from whichever data center is nearest your visitor, which is why the page loads under two seconds. SSL, DDoS protection, and DNS are all on the same platform.

Do I need Website Care if I just had a Refresh or Starter built?

Not strictly. The build is one-time and I'll point you at cheap, reliable hosting if you'd rather handle it yourself. Care is the option for people who want it off their plate: one bill, one email contact, no logging into anything. Most clients add it; some don't.

Want to forget about the site after launch?

Add Website Care during your build, or send a short email any time after launch and I'll set it up.
